One of my wishlist is to go on European backpacking, that is having a Schengen Visa and travel via land in 3-4 European countries. But for now, a Europe tour seemed not affordable or budget friendly so I am looking at backpacking in my own country. I have been planning for an Iloilo City - Guimaras - Antique - Aklan trip. But I just discovered not Gigantes Island is a must-see place in Iloilo province. I have made up an itinerary for a British friend visiting the country this month.
Iloilo, Guimaras and Antique offer white beaches that is at par or better than famous Boracay shores. In addition, you get to explore/discover your Filipino heritage and sample Visayan cuisine.
Juana Explore Travel Desk can also assist you in booking your hotels, tours and come up with an itinerary.

Travel, See the World
They say money can bring more happiness if spent on building good memories like traveling. Traveling is good for the mind and body. You leave the comforts of your home and step outside your usual routine. This activity stimulates your mind as you learn new things (navigating unfamiliar place, learn new language, try new cuisine).
Here are 7 benefits of traveling according to About.com/Why Travel.
1. Sharpens the Mind
You've done your old routine for so many years that you could run through it on autopilot. Being placed into a new environment engages a dormant part of your mind.
2. A Shift in Perspective
Being exposed to new cultures and people will greatly shift your paradigm and create a healthier perspective once you return back home. Seeing different social classes creates compassion and really makes you feel more blessed and content.
3. A Chance to Try New Things
While you may branch out at home with new restaurants from time to time, traveling kicks you out of the comfort zone and forces you, for better or worse, to try new things! Even if you don't enjoy your first attempt at bungee jumping, at least you'll be able to relate in a new way the next time you see it in a movie.
4. Meet New People
You'll meet far more friendly people on the road than you will under ordinary circumstances at home. Other travelers are always looking to share experiences, give tips on places to go, and meet people from all over. Striking up a conversation with other travelers is extraordinarily easy.
A polite "so where are you from?" breaks the ice quite easily and may lead to lasting friendships.
5. See the Real Deal
Until you visit a place and form your own opinions, your understanding only comes from what you were taught in school, read in books, or saw on media -- which may or may not be true.
6. Exercise and Sunshine
7. Come Home Renewed
Breaking up the monotony for a while is a great way to reduce stress and give your life an injection of excitement. Don't be surprised if you're already counting down days until the next trip!
